This is one of the most powerful lines from my favourite book, 'Beatrice and Virgil' by Yann Martel.

The line, said during a conversation between a monkey and a donkey (where one is describing a pear to the other), is also extremely important to the story.

Using this as the central idea, I designed a concept cover for the book.

The cover has a transparent sheet with a slice of the pear, giving the reader the illusion of cutting a pear.

As the user open the transparent layer, the pear lights up, paying homage to the line in the story.
